Peanut Cake Recipe with Soft and Crispy Texture, Makes it Addictive!

Surely you are familiar with this peanut cake, right? We often encounter peanut cakes during Eid moments.

But now you don’t have to wait for Eid day to taste this bean cake. You can make it yourself at home at any time.

Sometimes the problem with making bean cakes is that they have a crumbly texture that crumbles easily when bitten. How do you make a crunchy peanut cake that still has a soft texture? Come on, see the recipe below.

1. The materials used

Dough ingredients:

  • 250 grams of peeled peanuts
  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 1 sachet of powdered milk
  • 100 grams of refined sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 150 mL of cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Smear material:
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ tbsp of liquid milk

2. Roast the peanuts until browned

Roast peanuts on a pan. You can use teflon or ordinary skillet. Roast over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it turns brown. Remove and chill for a moment. Then, blend the peanuts until they look like peanut butter, transfer to a large bowl or basin.

3. Combine all the ingredients of the dough

Combine flour, powdered sugar, powdered milk, and salt. Sift everything and put it in the groundnut bowl. Stir using a whisk until the texture is shaped like a small lump.

Then, add 100 mL of cooking oil and vanilla essence. Mix well using a spatula.

If the dough is still dry, gradually add the remaining cooking oil. Make the dough until smooth and can be shaped. Cover the dough with a napkin and let stand for 20 minutes.

4. Print the dough according to taste

Print the dough according to the desired taste. Take a little dough then make a circle by hand. Shape the dough to be slightly flattened. Arrange neatly on a baking sheet. Top with peanut grains.

You can also use cookie cutters for more varied shapes.

5. The dough is spread and ready to bake

Combine the basting ingredients in a small bowl. Spread it on the cake batter using a spoon or small brush. After that, bake the cake in a preheated oven to 150 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

When done, remove from oven and let cool. Arrange and store in an airtight jar.
